On-site Services
General On-site Support $120/hour
For a simple hourly rate, we can come out to you and take care of all of your needs. This is good for most cases but sometimes, a flat fee for specific issues may be more economical. Below are our flat fee services.
Internet & Network Setup/Troubleshooting $120
This service includes working with an existing ISP or establishing new service in your name according to your choice of service provider (we can offer recommendations). If we are establishing internet services for you, we will attempt to alleviate the fees charged by the ISP for sending out their own technician for initial setup since we will be performing that part. This service also includes setup of the modem, router/firewall, DHCP, single access point wireless if requested (including wireless security) and client configuration. This EXCLUDES the cost of equipment needed, any charges by the service provider and in-wall network cabling.
Peripheral Setup/Troubleshooting $120 ($25 each additional during same visit)
This service will include the setup or troubleshooting of one peripheral device including all hardware and drivers/software related to the peripheral. A peripheral is defined as a single device that attaches to a computer system such as a monitor, speakers, a printer, an external hard drive, a webcam, an input device, etc.
Software Installation/Troubleshooting $120 ($25 each additional during same visit)
This service includes the installation or troubleshooting of one software title (purchased separately) on one machine. We will also download and install any available updates to the software and can create shortcuts on the Desktop, Start Menu, and anywhere else you would like.
System Maintenance $120
This service includes the download and installation of all updates to the operating system, BIOS, drivers, virus definitions and all installed software titles when available. We will remove temporary files, attempt to uninstall any spyware/adware, and perform a full system scan using the latest virus definitions. In many cases, systems that are badly infected with viruses, spyware, adware or other types of Trojans may not be recoverable. In these extreme cases, the only recourse is a System Refresh.
System Refresh $200
This service should be performed only as a last resort when all other attempts to clean the system are unsuccessful. A System Refresh is a complete format of the hard drive and the reinstallation of the Operating System, drivers and all software titles from scratch. You are required to provide all installation media for the Operating System and software titles. If you are unable to provide the installation media, you may be required to purchase a new copy of the particular software title. It can take a considerable amount of time to complete this service and in some cases it can take more than a day to complete. Because of this, it is recommended that the technician disconnect the computer and transport it to our lab where we will complete the service and schedule its return within 48 hours.
NOTE: The above list of services and prices are to serve as guidelines for regular service. In some cases, extra work may be required for a particular service and additional charges may apply. In these rare cases, all additional costs will be presented for approval before any work is done.
Home Maintenance
Initial Assessment FREE!
All PC’s are not equal. Before we can establish a maintenance plan for your computer, we will first need to evaluate what you have. In most cases, a simple cleaning and updating (StormSoft System Maintenance) is all that is needed to make your computer a well oiled machine. However, if your computer is already full of viruses and spyware/adware, extra services may be required to remove those threats and in the most extreme cases, we may even have to format and start over. If your computer requires any extra services, we’ll work with you and discuss all of your options before we do anything. If you decide you are not yet ready for us to perform the required services, we can stop before we get started and you will not be charged a dime. Then, when you are ready, we’ll be there for you.
Basic $15/month ($10/month each additional)
With the StormSoft Basic maintenance plan, help is simply a phone call away. No longer do you have to unplug everything and bring your computer to the PC shop only to be charged an arm and a leg just to have a squad of inexperienced geeks change one setting and call it “fixed”. At StormSoft, we can fix most issues remotely but if we can’t, we’ll come to you. We’ll treat your computer with respect as we not only fix the problem at hand, but also point out and fix anything that might become a problem if left unchecked. Our goal is to keep you running so that you never need us, but if you do, we’ll always be there.
Pro $20/PC/month ($15/month each additional)
The StormSoft Pro plan includes all the great service of the Basic plan but also includes real time monitoring of your system to proactively detect issues before they happen and a monthly remote check up where we make sure your PC is clean and fully up to date with all the latest patches and virus definitions. Our goal is keep your PC as good and as fast as the day you bought it.
Unlimited Online Backup $5/PC/month
Never worry about a hard drive or system crash again! StormSoft Unlimited Online Backup securely backs up all of your data to our servers so if anything happens to your PC, at least your data will be safe. You can also restore files if you simply deleted them by accident or want to go back to a previous version of a file. Our servers will retain the last 5 versions of every file backed up and there is no limit as to the amount of data that can be backed up.
The Works $250 ($200/year each additional)
Our best and most popular offer includes a full year of our Pro plan and a full year of Unlimited Online Backup with no additional monthly payments.
